BIO:

The son of a retired United Nations diplomat and a foreign politician, Mr. Kesselly was fortunate enough to receive a well-rounded education across various borders and cultures, including Liberia (West Africa); Geneva, Switzerland; and eventually completing his studies in Boston, MA.

This invaluable experience has undoubtedly enabled him to understand and appreciate various educational systems, as well as their efficacy. Having a vast foreign travel and residency experience has added to Mr. Kesselly’s diverse cultural background and enriched his understanding of peoples and cultures.

Mr. Kesselly brings a rich educational and professional background to the organization. He holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Northeastern University (Boston, MA), an MA in Public Management, and an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Suffolk University (Boston, MA.). Mr. Kesselly is fluent in French and has also studied German and Arabic. He brings over a decade of tutorial experience to the company.

Upon receiving his formal education, Mr. Kesselly worked for a major organization in the Boston area as a program manager overseeing educational and career-based programs geared towards youth. In this capacity, he worked diligently with various school systems, local/national colleges and universities; academic assessments focusing on a diverse student population; private sector and community-based organizations; as well as federal, state, and local entities in seeking out services for students and parents alike.

Later on in is career, Mr. Kesselly moved to the private sector as a management consultant for a major government contractor in the Washington D.C. area. Having spent several years in consulting, he returned to the Boston area and founded the company.

Due to his experience as an educator, as well as a program manager working with parents and various academic entities within the community, Mr. Kesselly quickly realized that many families valued the “extra help” available to their children after school. Spawned of the idea that school systems and one-size-fits-all learning centers lack the individualized attention that every child deserves, Study Group Tutorial was created.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

Study Group Tutorial is a rapidly growing educational services company that provides customized, one-on-one tutorial services for your child. Based in the Boston area, we are a community of certified teachers, university students, and professional tutors that supports students in grades K through 12 in all areas of academia.

We offer one-on-one, customized tutorial services. Unlike the learning centers that group students together per classroom, we take the approach that your child deserves the undivided attention of his/her tutor. Because each child is unique in his/her abilities to learn and process information, we reject subscribing to a cookie-cutter approach to teaching or learning.

Our staff members seek to build a strong rapport with you and your child; therefore, we provide every opportunity to maintain a personable, healthy relationship. We follow current classroom curriculum; thereby, maximizing tutorial sessions by preparing your child for upcoming tests and/or class work. Every minute spent during a session will directly impact actual school work.

Study Group Tutorial has professional tutors available year-round, seven days a week, for morning, afternoon, and evening sessions. We are flexible in order to accommodate other activities occurring in your lives. Our tutors are located throughout the State of Massachusetts.

We know that you are extremely busy and value your time. With this in mind, our tutors are highly mobile and can meet your child at any of the following designated venues in or around your community:
