BIO:
•Bachelor of Science honors degrees in both Political Science and English (M.C.L.)
•Currently pursuing her graduate degree with a 4.0 GPA
•Certified in Precision Teaching and the Lindamood Bell Method
•Certification as a Master Level Tutor by the National Tutoring Association
•Founder, “SOS” Tutoring in 1997
•Authored many works, from professional articles on tutoring, to online tutoring courses, workshops, and seminars
•Sole developer and author of a successful learning skills program entitled “The S.O.S. Binder System” which received the award for “Most Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Tutoring” from the National Tutoring Association in 2006

•Worked for past 20 years with over 1,100 students from middle school to college, helping them to strengthen their memory and meta-cognitive skills, become aware of individual testing obstacles and improve organization skills
•Specializes in advanced, cutting edge, learning methods that help students yield superior learning results and become more aware, empowered and self-directed learners.
•Known for ability to raise GPA’s by helping student’s detect the actual causes of their testing errors rather than the perceived causes
•Places great emphasis on the development of positive habits so that students are able to maintain their GPA’s long after their tutoring sessions have ended
•Works in private practice as an academic coach and currently teaches writing workshops at UMass Boston
•Serves as the editor of the Crossroads of Learning journal at www.crossroadsoflearning.com, a journal for one-to-one educators
