About My Kid Support
Mykidsupport.com began, quite literally, as a labor of love. It began as one parent’s attempt to find educational support for her children in the Metro Boston area, a labor that countless parents perform regularly for their children. It grew into an easily accessible, localized and community-driven resource where parents and professionals can research, share and endorse educational support information for the benefit of the children in their community. This information is provided by the people who understand the services best – the community itself.
While opinions may differ on the type of educational support that best serves a child, a unifying belief is that sometimes children do need educational support. Whether a child has a non-traditional learning profile or simply needs a boost, quality support that is well matched to a child’s specific needs not only can improve a child’s performance but also that child’s ability to overcome challenges that can hinder learning. Through the active input of professionals and parents, mykidsupport.com is able to maximize that support by sharing members’ perspectives on how to identify, manage and understand the educational support resources available in their communities.
As you use this site, please review our terms of use and privacy policy. Also, please realize that mykidsupport.com is not yet perfect. Still in its beta form, development is ongoing. Our hope is that through your active participation, the site will grow in scope, depth and reach. We also welcome your feedback. With your support, together we can build a site that will help all of us help our children thrive and succeed.
