Study: College freshmen hitting books harder

This January 26, 2012 article in USA Today points to a study that suggests that this year's college freshman are more studious than their counterparts of the last few years.
The UCLA study suggests that in high school, more of them took notes in class, did homework and took more demanding coursework their senior year in high school, and fewer said they drank alchohol, partied or showed up late for class.
Researchers who conducted the survey said these and other trends suggest they have a better chance of succeeding academically.
