Read Naturally

Read Naturally is an instruction program designed to improve children's reading.
The Read Naturally web site says the program combines teacher modeling, repeated reading, and assessment and progress monitoring. It explains:
"Our strategy and industry-leading products support and reinforce the five essential components of reading, as determined by the National Reading Panel: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Using stories, audio recordings, posters, videos, stickers, quizzes, puzzles, and graphs, students work with age-appropriate material at their skill level."
What Works Clearinghouse which is run by the U.S. Department of Education Institute of Education Sciences reviewed the program on July 16, 2007. Its results can be found at http://ies.ed.gov/ncee/wwc/reports/beginning_reading/read_naturally/.
The following specialists at mykidsupport.com have included Read Naturally among their training and certifications. For verification and greater explanation of this program, you will need to talk to the educator or contact the program at the Read Naturally web site.
